Austin discovered pool at nine, after darts at Grandma’s house led to soft-tip darts outings with Dad—and a new fascination with the pool table. Taking pool seriously was Austin’s idea. The challenge of running every ball keeps him coming back.
Country dancing took a little more convincing. Dad introduced him to two-step and country swing, and after a few reluctant months, cheers from spectators helped turn hesitation into confidence.
From Buffalo Chip and Harold’s to The Stillery, 44 Bar, Corral at White Tank Ranch, and Country Thunder, the encouragement made a difference. Today, pool and dancing are both part of who he is.
Early sessions with Mitch Ellerman. Safety play with Jon Smith in Glendale. Working with Jerry Briesath since around June 2026.
ON THE DANCE FLOOR
Boots on. Personality out.
Two-step. Country swing. A crowd cheering him on. Dancing brings out another side of Maverick—the connection, confidence, and fun that go well beyond the pool table.
Same competitive spirit. A whole different kind of footwork.
